Are you struggling in life ?

Do you recognise the following?
You’ve a partner,  a lovely child and most things aren’t running smoothly these days. You’re not feeling down or depressed but you’re quickly irritated, a bit tensed and anxious. Your spouse feels that situation and talks with you about it.
You wave the problems away telling they don’t exists.

At work you’re having a busy period. Several major decision are made for you and you’re about to tell some employees that they might lose their job.
It isn’t your call but yet you’re feeling uncomfortable with the whole situation.
Time comes closer for those bad-news-conversations.
You’re wondering if you should have done something to prevent the lose of jobs.
You think you did the best you could but in your mind there still are doubts. You over look the whole situation again. You talk at home about it and you even consult some friends. They tell you that you shouldn't worry to much. Easier said then done.
At home things are running smoothly. There are no problems between you and your spouse. You are able to keep work and private situation separated from each other.
In the mean time days, weeks run by and D-days approaches. You are starting to feel worse and worse.
You know this most been done, it’s for the benefit of the company. But still ……..

The whole situation reminds you of a period a few years ago. You also weren’t feeling well, but you couldn’t relate it to a specific moment.
The not-so-feeling-good period didn’t last a long time.
You went on with your life as thing improved by themselves.
Just now you think of that period again and wonder what you did then to find more peace at mind.
You can’t exactly recall the moment but someone spook to you about meditation.
You didn’t think that it was something for you. So you didn’t inquire or did some reach about it.

After the confronting conversations with the employees life goes on.
The company is running fine. You’re keeping track and at home things come in smoother water. Life looks nicer these days. You don’t have that much sorrow and pain in your neck-shoulder area then within the troubled period.
In the meantime your spouse has without your knowledge been talking to several people about the situation. She talks to a colleague and he gives the advice that you should read a book about self-awareness.
Just tonight you both talk about the situation and you hear the advice giving by that colleague.
You're thinking of reading books about meditation, self hypnosis. All this for self growth and personal development.
You sit behind your computer and type the words self-awareness, development , manifestation of life into the search query and hit the ENTER button.
Want to find a way to help you with the struggle of life.

5 Steps to Goal Setting Success

Goal setting is the true secret to success in any area of life. But although setting a goal may seem simple, achieving it is usually another question altogether.

Why is that?

Because you will never achieve your goals unless you:
(1) know exactly what you want, (2) are passionate about your goal, and (3) have a solid, realistic plan of action. This is what marks the difference between nebulous dreams and wishes - and truly achievable goals!

Many obstacles and challenges will fly right in your face when you're going after a goal. Here are 5 time-tested methods that will help get the success you deserve.
 1. Know exactly what your goal is

Your first job is to discover exactly what your goal is. What will achieving that goal really look like? Be as specific as possible about exactly what your desired end result is. Your success will be a measure of your clarity - since an achievable goal plan cannot be created around a nebulous "dream."

If your goal is to create a more successful business, what will that look like? Are you thinking in terms of simply hiring someone else to give you more free time? Are you looking for a very specific monthly profit? Or can your goal be best expressed in terms of a certain lifestyle?

Regardless of what you want, the best way to get it is to first clarify exactly what you want in as much detail as possible. This can be hard work. But without a clear mental picture, you'll never have the focus required to achieve your goal.
 2. Be willing to pay the "entry fee"

Success takes dedicated planning and effort. In a way it's like building a house. In the beginning all you have is a rough concept. Then you develop a complete set of plans - and you immediately move closer to success. The same is true of creating a better lifestyle, or a more successful business.

But there's always an *entry fee* to be paid for success.

The entry fee?

Creating more success in your business may mean less recreational time. Writing your own book may require less TV. Being closer to your children may require adjusting your work or social activities.

It's the "full glass" deal. If your life (your time) is already full to the top, there's no room for something new. The entry fee is carving out the time to create that something new.
 3. Focus on your goal every day

I'm sure you probably want to achieve your goal as fast as possible. That's why clear mental focus is so very important.

Consistent daily focus is absolutely necessary to "burn in" the new neural pathways you need to create your new goal. Without daily focus, the old mental habits that have kept you from your goal will continue to take over.

This happens automatically - since these old habits replay 24/7 deep in your subconscious mind. The only way to override subconscious anti-success messages is to consciously focus on what you DO want - and build new neural networks!

That's why success is an every-day event.

Re-commit to your goal every day. Don't let your goal take a back seat to the daily tasks and distractions that will try to take over. Life WILL try to get in your way. Just get, and stay, on course every day. Focus on your goal, and on success!
 4. Get passionate

One of the most powerful tools in your "success tool box" is having real passion for your goal.

Why passion?

Because intense passionate desire for your goal will help you burn in those new neural pathways even faster. Many, many scientific studies have shown that intense emotion (passion) is a key success tool.

PLUS (and this is really a *big* plus), intense passion will also help you rapidly override any inappropriate old "failure messages" stored in your subconscious mind.
 5. Take consistent action

In many ways, actually taking action can be the most difficult step. Successful goal achievement is built by taking one small action after another.

The word is ACTION!

If you commit to take at least one small action each day, your actions WILL add up and make a difference. So avoid sitting back waiting for that big second when everything will magically "just happen."

You CAN create whatever you want in life. The secret is to determine exactly what you want, then pursue it passionately. But remember -- in the end, only action counts! You can't just dream about it! You have to DO IT!

The Essential Keys To Self Improvement And Motivation... Revealed!

What are the three keys to self improvement and motivation?

1. INSPIRATION.
Inspiration is critical to staying motivated and improving oneself. If you are not interested in your business, your motivation level will never be high and you will not be able to sustain interest for very long.
Take an honest look at your inspiration level. Are you excited about going to work or is it an obligation? You would be surprised at the number of people who choose a business that looks good on paper, but in reality does not interest them in the least.
These individuals will grow weary and uninterested pretty quickly because they have no inspiration or passion to sustain them during the difficult times they will encounter as a small business owner.
If you do not like your work, then think how you can re-focus your small business to better match your needs. Or consider making a change entirely. Without inspiration, there will not be motivated to even try self improvement.

2. SETTING GOALS.
Short and long-term goal setting is vital for any business owner. If you do not set goals, you would have no definite purpose on which path of self improvement to take.
How could you possibly be motivated if you were unsure about the direction of your company?
Take the time to put your goals in writing. A business plan may sound daunting, but it is really nothing more than goals, strategies, implementation and a budget. Write your own business plan and update it at least annually.
Include “mini-goals” that can be accomplished in a matter of hours, days or weeks as well as the more ambitious “grand-goals” that may take years to complete. Refer to this plan throughout the year.
But can a business plan really help motivate you? Of course. Written goals will make you feel more professional and certainly more connected to your business. It will also free you from having to reinvent your business goals every single day.

3. NETWORKING.
Another key factor in getting and staying motivated is networking with other small business owners. No one person knows all the knowledge.
However, when a number of people begin working together, the challenges will just be there waiting to be conquered.
In fact, the isolation of working alone is of one the most difficult parts of being an entrepreneur. You can never be on your way to self improvement without the help of others. Mutual support is motivating.
Make it easier on yourself by connecting with others either in your community or online. Even when businesses are not related, you will often find common ground and ways to work together.
Many successful entrepreneurs report that finding the right networking group was a turning point in the growth of the business. Working together, a networking group can help its members generate more qualified sales leads and solve problems faster and more efficiently.
Sharing ideas, expertise and experience is also an invaluable aspect of motivation and self improvement.
Your own personal team of business owners will help re-energize you when the burdens of running your own business seem too much.
With your networking team to rely on, you can accomplish more in less time and probably have more fun in the process. You will feel motivated to accomplish self improvement when you know you are not alone. Click here and get a jump start on living your passion.

7 Tips for Fitness Women

Would you like to be a fitness woman? Or are you a fitness woman but would like to be effective? Here are 7 great tips on how to become an effective fitness woman:

1. Get a program that will best suit you. Every fitness woman is different. You may have surgical history where a program may not be suited for you. Always consult a qualified trainer to make sure that the fitness program will not hurt you. If the fitness program is not for you, it will only be a cause of frustration and injuries.

2. Set realistic targets. Wouldn't you be frustrated if you set your mind into reshaping your body in month? Make sure that the body you prefer in a period of time is achievable and realistic. The program should also be practical and will not give you false hopes. It is important to be aware of the blocks you encounter in your daily living. This will help you know what program is satisfactory. And once a program has been reached, then you can set goals and timelines that are realistic.

3. Exercises should work on the parts of your body where muscles are. The reason mainly is, when you develop muscles, you burn more calories and then you lessen the fats in your body. Multi-joint exercises and weight lifting are recommended. Learn what exercises work on certain parts of your body. Multi-joint exercises are also said to be effective but time saving.

4. Be systematic on working on your muscles. Your muscles should be working harder over time. Repeating the same sets of exercises and same weight without getting your muscles to work harder will not give satisfactory results. You can record your daily results and make the progression based on your previous data. A daily log will also motivate you since you are able to track how far you have gone. It builds confidence since there is a written proof something that was successfully accomplished.

5. Perform a set of exercises in 10 repetitions. Every number that was accomplished is called a repetition. Try to make every repetition with less momentum as much as possible. The lesser the momentum, the harder your muscles work. And the harder they work, the bigger they become. To check if there is much momentum when lifting, see if the arm is floating. If the arm does float, then there is much momentum.

6. Be flexible and perform a variety of exercises.  Every exercise program should have a variety. You can change your exercises, goals and sets every month to keep you motivated and on the go. Doing this will help you prevent being bored and losing energy physically and mentally.

7. Be Motivated! The best way to keep the energy levels of trainees is to allow a healthy competition and allow them to have a sense of control. Having control is having the sense ownership where everybody gets a part in implementing a program. To do this you also need to be consistent in demonstrating your skills.

Not all programs work for all types of people. There is no workout that is best for everyone. But you learn from experienced people. Learn to acknowledge blocks and demonstrate self-discipline, keep yourself motivated and work harder everyday and add variety. Doing these things, you will discover that a lot of programs will work for you.

Health and Fitness

Being active makes a person healthy and strong. It is not just for people who have a weight problem but for everyone who likes to stay fit.

There is a lot a person can do such jog or walk every morning, play basketball or any other sport with friends but if a person wants to have muscles and look lean, then one can sign up and workout in a gym.

People workout for 3 reasons;

The first is that the person is overweight and the only way to lose those extra pounds will be to reduce ones calorie intake and at the same time workout in the gym.

The second is that the person is underweight and the only way to add extra pounds is to have more calories in ones diet and workout.

The third is just for fun and to keep that person in shape.

The best exercise plan should have cardiovascular and weight training exercises. This helps burn calories and increase the muscle to fat ratio that will increase ones metabolism and gain or lose weight.

Just like taking any medicine, one should first consult the doctor before undergoing any form of exercise.

Here are some benefits of exercising;

1. It is the easiest way to maintain and improve ones health from a variety of diseases and premature death.

2. Studies have shown that it makes a person feels happier and increases ones self esteem preventing one from falling into depression or anxiety.

3. An active lifestyle makes a person live longer than a person who doesn’t.

Working out for someone who has not done it before should be done gradually. Endurance will not be built in a day and doing it repeatedly will surely be beneficial to the person.

It is advisable to workout regularly with a reasonable diet.

A person can consult with a dietitian or a health professional to really help plan a good diet program. It starts by evaluating the lifestyle and the health of the patient before any program can be made.

Afterwards, this is thoroughly discussed and recommended to the person which usually consists of an eating plan and an exercise program that does not require the use of supplements or one to purchase any expensive fitness equipment.

A good diet should have food from all the food groups.

This is made up by 2 things. The first is carbohydrates. The food that a person consumes should have vitamins, minerals and fiber. A lot of this can come from oats, rice, potatoes and cereals. The best still come from vegetables and fruits since these have phytochemicals, enzymes and micronutrients that are essential for a healthy diet.

The second is fat which can come from mono and poly saturated food sources rather than animal fats. Since fat contains more than double the number of calories in food, this should be taken in small quantities to gain or lose weight.

Another way to stay healthy is to give up some vices. Most people smoke and drink. Smoking has been proven to cause lung cancer and other diseases as well complications for women giving birth. Excessive drinking has also shown to do the same.

For people who don’t smoke, it is best to stay away from people who do since studies have shown that nonsmokers are also at risk of developing cancer due to secondary smoke inhalation

Can You Make Money as a Beauty Consultant?

Are you looking for a new job or a career change?  If you are, do you regularly find yourself examining the latest fashion and beauty trends?  Do you regularly find yourself giving beauty advice, even unasked advice, to those that you know?  If you do, have you ever thought about working as beauty consultant?  If you haven’t, you may want to do so, as a beauty consultant can be a nice, fun, and relatively easy way to make money.

Speaking of making money as a beauty consultant, there are many individuals out there who wonder if it is really possible to make money.  If you work as beauty consultant, there is a good chance that you will likely end up starting your own business. While it is always risky and sometimes tricky getting your own business up and running, it is more than possible for you to make money as a beauty consultant.  If you would like more information on how you can go about doing so, you may want to continue reading on.

Before examining how you can go about making money as a beauty consultant, you may be wondering exactly what one does.  When it comes to beauty consultants and the tasks that they perform, you will find that it varies. Different beauty consultants often offer different services.  In most cases, a beauty consultant will advise an individual on what type of makeup they should wear or how they should wear their hair, everyday or just for a special event.  In some cases, you may also find beauty consultants who go as far as show a client how to properly apply their makeup or even doing so for their client’s special occasion.

When it comes to working as a beauty consultant, many hopeful beauty consultants wonder if any experience is required.  As previously mentioned, many beauty consultants start their own businesses, but beauty salons or even beauty supply stores hire others.  If you are interested in starting your own business and working for yourself, you do not necessarily need to have any prior beauty training or experience, although it will likely help.  However, if you were interested in working for an existing beauty salon or supply store there is a good chance that there may be some education requirements or work experience requirements.

One of the next commonly asked questions is how money is made. As it was previously mentioned, beauty consultants often advised their clients on how they should dress, wear makeup, or wear their hair, often for a special occasion.  If you are interested in working as a beauty consultant, you will charge your clients for using your services.  Different beauty consultants charge their own fees, so you can do the same, but you may want to see what your competition is charging. This will give you the opportunity to make sure that your rates stay fair and competitive.

Of course, to make money as a beauty consultant, you need to have clients or customers.  What is nice about working as a beauty consultant is that you can target all individuals in general, but there are also groups of specific individuals that you may want to think about targeting. These individuals are often referred to as your targeted market. As previously stated, many individuals hire fashion consultants for special occasions or special events. These special occasions and events may include starting a new job, a job interview, a wedding, an elegant dinner, an important business meeting and so forth. These are the individuals that you may want to spend most of your advertising dollars on.

The above covered points are just a few of the many that you should first familiarize yourself with before you jump right in and open up your own beauty consultation business.  You may want to do additional research and to do that you can use the internet or visit your local bookstore for guides on how to start your beauty consultation business.

Can You Make Money as a Beauty Supply Store Owner?

Are you interested in running your own beauty supply store?  If you are, you are definitely not alone.  A large number of men and women who have a love for beauty and fashion often dream of running their own beauty supply stores.  Unfortunately, many people mistakenly believe that dream is one that is too difficult to turn into a reality.  Yes, starting your own beauty supply store and making it profitable can be a long and complicated task, but it is more that is more than possible to achieve.

As you likely already know, beauty supply store owners are individuals who are in charge of running and often managing a beauty supply store. Beauty supply stores come in a number of different formats, but most are designed to give the public easy access to some popular and well known beauty products and supplies.  These products and supplies often include hair care accessories, skin care products, nail care products, makeup, and so forth.

Since the products sold at a beauty supply store play an important role in the success of one, you may be interested in learning more about what type of beauty supplies and products you should sell, as well as where you can get them from. The good thing about running your own business is that you are in charge of all the decisions. So, you can choose to sell whatever type of beauty products that you want to. For instance, if you wanted to focus on African Americans, you can do so.  If you wanted to focus on beauty supplies and products for men or just women, you could also do so as well; the decisions are all yours to make.

As for getting the products to sell at a beauty supply store, you have a number of different options.  If you want to start out small, just to reduce the expenses that you incur, you may only want to think about placing small orders. While this is more than okay to do, you may still want to examine wholesale beauty product sellers and distributors.  These individuals and companies often reward you and other customers with discounts for buying their products in large quantities.  Of course, you can buy your beauty supply products and supplies any way that you want, but you should know that most beauty supply store owners choose to go with wholesale products.

Another choice that you have, when trying to make money as a beauty supply store owner, is the type of format that you would like your business to be in.  A large number of beauty stores have local, storefront locations, but many are also operated online. With the recent spike in the popularity of online shopping, you may even want to think about having a storefront retail location, as well as an online beauty supply store.  If you would like to operate a storefront beauty supply store, you will notice an increase in startup costs, as you need to pay for store space, as well as buy many store fixtures, like shelves and cash registers.

Speaking of startup costs, the startup costs associated with opening your own beauty supply store, especially a local one, can be quite high, but you don’t always have to come up with the funds all on your own. With a good credit score and a convincing business plan, you may be able to receive financial support from financial investors, as well as financial lenders, like your local bank. This is something that is important to remember, as many hopeful beauty supply store owners just write off the possibility of being one because they think that it is too much money for them to afford.  With the proper financial assistance, anything is possible.

In short, it is more than possible for you to make money as a beauty supply store owner. In addition to making money, you may also find it to be a fun and enjoyable adventure.  As a reminder, before opening a beauty supply store, either locally or online, you will first want to take the time to familiarize yourself with all local, state and federal laws.

How to Find the Perfect Beauty School to Attend

Are you interested in perusing a career that is focused on fashion and beauty?  If you are, you have number of different career opportunities and jobs to choose from. For instance, you can run your own fashion consultation business, run your own beauty salon, or even a beauty supply store.  Although having your own business is nice, you can also work as a beauty supply store worker or be an employee at a beauty salon.

As you can see, you have a number of different jobs and career opportunities to choose from. The only thing that you need to remember is that it is sometimes difficult to get a job or run a successful business that is focused on beauty and fashion. Although it is more than possible to do so, you need to examine the competition.  As beauty and fashion increase in popularity, more individuals want to work in that field.  What you want to do is set yourself apart from everyone else.  To do this, you may want to think about receiving the proper amount of education and training.

When it comes to receiving beauty education and training, you will find that you have a number of different options.  For instance, there are two and four year colleges and universities that you can attend. These colleges and universities give you a college degree, one that is often for cosmetology. In addition to attending an accredited college or university, you can also attend a traditional beauty school. Beauty schools are often run by experts in the field and they are often more affordable to attend. While you may not necessarily receive a college degree for attending a beauty school, you should be able to walk away with a certificate of completion.

If you do decide that you would like to attend a college, university, or beauty school, to get the proper amount of beauty training, there are a number of important factors that you may want to take into consideration.  One of those factors is the cost of doing so.  Beauty schools can be fairly expensive to attend, especially if those schools are considered accredited colleges and universities.  Yes, you may be able to financial aid, in the form of student loans, scholarships, and grants, but there are no guarantees.  Before going broke trying to attend beauty school, you may want to make sure that it is a career that you are serious about. Also, if you are willing to relocate, it may be easier for you to find a more affordable beauty school or college to attend.

Reputation is also something that you should think about when looking to find a beauty school to attend.  In all honesty, most colleges and universities have outstanding records; therefore, you may be making a good choice with attending one, even really any one.  As for a beauty school that isn’t necessarily considered a college or university, you will want to be careful when making your choice.  Some beauty schools come highly rated and recommended, but there are others that some employers are actually encouraged to stay away from. To ensure that your beauty training and education is well worth it, will help you get a job or help you start a successful business, you will want to make sure that you choose a beauty school that has an outstanding reputation.

The above mentioned factors are just a few of the many that you may want to take into consideration, when choosing a beauty school to attend.  If you are interested in researching beauty schools, colleges, and universities on your own, you may want to think about turning to the internet.  With a standard internet search, with a phrase like “beauty schools,” you should be able to find the online websites of numerous beauty schools, as well as colleges and universities that have cosmetology programs.  If you are still in high school, you may want to think about approaching your guidance counselor for assistance.

Can You Make Money as a Beauty Salon Owner?

Are you interested in perusing a career that is focused on beauty and fashion?  If you are, have you started to examine your career options yet?  If you haven’t, you will soon find that you have a number of different options.  One of those options is to start your own beauty salon business.

When it comes to owning and operating a beauty salon, there are many hopeful owners who wonder if it is really possible to do.  Of course, starting any business can be a stressful and trying time, but it is more than possible for you to develop and run your own profitable beauty salon.  If you would like to learn more about how you can go about doing so, should you wish to do so, you will want to continue reading on.

Before deciding to open your own beauty salon, there are a number of important factors that you may want to take into consideration first.  One of those factors is your vision for your business. Do you want to start out small, like start out of your home, or do you want to start with your own storefront location?  If you would prefer to start your own beauty salon as a traditional business, not necessarily one that is a home based one, you will want to examine all available locations.  You need to carefully choose the location for your business. Be sure to choose a location that can accommodate to you and all of your space needs, as well as one that does not have a lot of competition nearby.

Another factor that you may want to take into consideration is your beauty and fashion knowledge and experience.  While a large number of individuals who wish to open their own beauty salons have a love for beauty and fashion, not all do.  If you haven’t worked for a beauty salon before or if you haven’t attended beauty school or even just taken a beauty training course, you may want to think about doing so before you start your business.  Yes, there is a good chance that you will end up hiring your own workers and they can have most of the knowledge, but you will at least want to be familiar with the business that you run.

Startup costs are another factor that should be taken into consideration, when trying to determine if you can make a living running your own beauty salon.  Most businesses have startup costs, but it can be kind of expensive to get a beauty salon up and running.  In addition to building space, you will also need to purchase other fixtures and supplies.  There is a good chance that you will need a receptionist’s desk, hair care stations, nail care products, and possibly even tanning beds. These pieces of equipment can get fairly costly, but is there financing assistance out there for you, should you need it.

As a reminder, running your own beauty salon is just one of the many careers that you can have that is focused on beauty, in one way or another.  However, if you have your heart set on running a beauty salon, it should be more than possible for you to do so.  Before you get started though, it is important that you take the time to familiarize yourself with all local, state, and federal laws concerning small businesses.

Kids Eating Healthy

Fast food is a big part of modern life these days, making it very hard to teach a child how he or she should eat healthy.  The cheapest and easiest foods are those that are normally the least healthy.  If you give your child the choice between healthy food and junk food, you normally won't like the results.

Even though it isn't possible to get a child to like all healthy foods, there are some ways to get your child to try and hopefully like at least a few of them.  You can be as creative as you like, as getting kids to eat healthy foods can be a little harder than you may think.

-  Sneak the healthy food in.  Even though it would be great if your kid understood the importance of  fruits and vegetables, this isn't always possible. If you can't get them to eat good food willingly, there are ways to sneak them in, such as making  muffins out of bananas or apples, or pizza with spinach on it.

-  Call fruits and vegetables by funny names.  You can refer to broccoli as "trees", making them more fun to eat.  There are many different names you can call fruits and vegetables, even making up your own if you prefer.  Most kids prefer to eat foods that sound fun.

-  Make the foods taste better. Ranch dressing is great for broccoli, while peanut butter is a great topping for celery.  There are several combinations for vegetables that can make them taste much better.  You can let your child pick a topping for a vegetable, even if it's something you wouldn't normally like yourself.

-  Dress the vegetables up.  Just as much as calling them names help kids eat healthy foods, making them
look funny also helps.  You can do this by making  funny designs on the plate, or setting them up to look like people.  Although some parents don't like their kids playing with their food, sometimes it helps to get them to eat healthier.

There are several ways to make your kids eat healthier, but to make them enjoy it also has to be fun as well.  This isn't always an easy task, because kids normally don't like foods that are good for them.  It can however, be done with a bit of creativity.  Hopefully, doing this will help your child develop a love of healthy foods for the rest of their lives.

Eating Healthy On The Run

Whether your traveling on the go or around the home, you don't need to give up healthy eating simply because you are on the run.  The fact is, healthy eating is even more important when your trying to keep up with a busy schedule.

Having a good diet will help your body to handle stress better.  As you hustle about, a healthy meal is probably the last thing you think about.  The following tips can help you eat when your on the go.

Restaurants
With tempting menus, large portions, and a festive atmosphere, it's easy to skip healthy eating.  It's okay to splurge every now and then, although you'll pack on a lot of weight if you make it a habit. When you eat out at restaurants, always be smart  about it.

Airports
An airport can be a very stressful place, although you shouldn't scrap your diet because of it.  Eat because you are hungry, not because of stress, boredom, or to kill time.

In your car
Keep some healthy snacks in your car at all times, so that when you get hungry - you have them.

At home
Evenings and mornings are busy times in most homes. Making the time to eat can be hard, although you shouldn't run out the door without eating breakfast first.  Cereal with milk, a banana, muffin, or even a bagel is a great way to start the day.

Anytime you are on the go, always make sure that you make the right food decisions. You can take healthy food with you if you need to, so that you have it when you need it.  Eating healthy on the go is easy to do, once you know how.  Never sacrifice healthy food for junk, as your body will regret it later.

Eating Healthy For Vegetarians

The vegetarian way of eating can be a very healthy style of eating.  The rules still apply with healthy eating,
although you should add variety, balance, and moderation.

A vegetarian is someone who avoids all types of meat, whether it be hamburgers, hotdogs, chicken, or even fish. Vegetarians are also sometimes classified by the type of food they are or aren't willing to eat.  For example,  Lacto-ovo vegetarians will avoid animal flesh yet they will eat eggs and most dairy products.  A Vegan on the  other hand, will avoid all food that has any trace of animal origin.

Because they don't eat meet, vegetarians will often wonder how they'll get enough protein.  Although you may
not realize it, the average American actually consumes more protein than he actually needs.  For the lacto-ovo
vegetarian, dairy products are an excellent source of protein.  Vegans on the other hand, get their protein
from nuts, seeds, and soy products.

Along the lines of beans, there are several to choose from, including green or red lentils, peanuts, split
peas, pinto, soy, kidney, and many more.  Some of them you are already familiar, such as kidney beans in
chili, refried beans in Mexican dishes, red beans and rice, and pinto beans.  Although some beans taste good
as they are, others are available with different flavors to help enhance their taste.  Nuts are hihg in protein,
although they deliver a lot more fat than beans, which means you should enjoy them in moderation.  By having
one cup of cooked beans, you'll get the same amount of protein as eating two ounces of meat!

The nutrients of concern for vegans, who avoid all types of animal food, are vitamin B12, calcium, and vitamin D. In the average North American diet, the primary source for B12 is animals.  To have an adequate intake of B12,  vegans should regularly consume vitamin B12 supplements or foods, which contain vitamin B12, such as soy products or milk.

For calcium, vegans can rely on orange juice or soy milk, as they are fortified with calcium.  Beans and
leafy green vegetables will also contain some calcium as well.

Although all types of vegetarians rely on simple food groups, controlling your vitamins and calcium intake is
something you should always do.  This is very important for eating healthy, as well as staying healthy.  If you
control what you eat, you'll have many years of healthy eating ahead of you.

Planning for Atkins

When it comes to the Atkins diet, your success will lie in your planning. Making sure you have the proper foods on hand when you begin your diet will go a long way toward your ongoing weight loss. There are many suggestions for Atkins diet meals in the Atkins books, and there are plenty of resources online for Atkins and low-carb recipes.

Planning your meals and snacks will be an important part of your life when you are on this diet. That advice really goes for any diet. When you eat whatever you like, you gain weight. Your current weight and health problems are a direct result of letting your eating habits go unchecked for so long.

As with all diet plans, becoming used to the Atkins way of eating is going to take some time and adjustment. The standard American diet relies heavily on carbohydrates and other restricted foods. Many people grew up on carbohydrate heavy favorites like spaghetti and meatballs, meat and potatoes and pasta casserole. It is going to take some effort and patience to get used to eating in an entirely new way.

There are two different approaches you can take in adjusting your diet. You can find replacements for your favorite foods with “mock” carbohydrates. For example, lasagna made with eggplant or zucchini instead of pasta is much more carb-friendly than the regular variety. Spaghetti squash noodles make a good substitute for spaghetti noodles. There are also many low-carb or carb-free replacements for bread, pasta and sugar products.

The second approach is to find out how to make new recipes that center around meats and other low-carb foods. There are a wide variety of meats that are acceptable on the Atkins plan. If you are used to just eating ground beef or chicken on a weekly basis, you’ll be surprised by the variety of meats that are out there. Try incorporating pork, lamb and ham into your weekly routine. You can also experiment with game fowl like Cornish hen, quail and pheasant. If you’ve never been a fan of fish, try a different variety. Some people who don’t like trout find they have a love of salmon or another fish. Don’t forget shellfish like mussels, clams and shrimp. These foods are all acceptable and can add variety to your diet.

Make sure to have some easy to prepare foods on hand for snacks and quick meals. For example, thin sliced cucumbers, radishes and celery mixed with lemon mayonnaise makes a great low-carb meal or dinner salad. Fried peppers, mushrooms and garlic served on arugula with feta cheese is another good option.

Research and try out different low-carb recipes so you have a good base of knowledge of what to prepare for meals. The most important step you can take in losing weight is planning. Getting a good arsenal of easy to prepare meals will prevent you from hitting the drive through or going to a restaurant and breaking your diet.

If you have delicious food to look forward to everyday, you’ll be less bored with your diet. Even during the restrictive induction phase, there are many food combinations that you can use. At first glance, the vegetable and meat options may seem restrictive. But this is only in comparison to what you have been used to eating. With a little planning and creativity, you can find something interesting to eat everyday.

Atkins Diet Foods

Atkins diet foods are easy to find and available everywhere. There are many varieties to choose from, whether you pick prepackaged low-carb diet foods or make your own meals. No matter how you want to do the Atkins plan, there is a solution out there for you.

You’ll need to keep the Atkins food pyramid in mind when you make food choices. The Atkins pyramid looks much different than the USDA Food Guide Pyramid. The base of the pyramid consists of protein sources such as eggs, fish, beef, chicken and tofu. On a daily basis, your diet should consist primarily of these foods. The second tier has low glycemic vegetables like salad greens, broccoli, cauliflower, asparagus and spinach.

The third tier is made up of berries and avocado. Fruits should be used on an occasional basis after the initial stages of the Atkins diet. Vegetable and seed oils, cheese, dairy, nuts and legumes are used sparingly and in appropriate portions. While the FDA pyramid has oils and fats at the top peak, the Atkins pyramid places whole grain foods in this spot. Whole grain foods should be used very occasionally and don’t make up the mainstay of the Atkins diet.

When you start the Atkins plan, you’ll need to make sure you understand which foods are acceptable for your stage of the program. The Induction phase is the most restrictive, but it only lasts two weeks.

You owe it to your dieting success to stay within the acceptable foods list. One of the best ways to do this is to follow the Atkins menu plans that are printed within the New Diet Revolution book. There are also Atkins cookbooks and cookbooks that are geared toward other low carb diets that are helpful in formulating meal plans.

It’s a helpful idea to use a cheat sheet of acceptable Atkins foods wherever you go. If you are out and about and hungry, the last thing you want to do is to try to think back in your memory to figure out what you can and cannot eat. Carrying a list of acceptable foods with you will make finding a snack or meal while out on the run easy. You can’t always rely on “low carb” labels to tell you whether or not something is diet friendly. Ever since low carb became the new diet craze, manufacturers have been jumping on the bandwagon to attract Atkins dieters. They label items low carb to sell products and don’t have your health in mind. Relying on foods from your own personal list is the best way to stay on the plan.

Another good resource for keeping track of the appropriate Atkins foods is an online diet program. There are several available. Some are free and some have a small monthly fee. The programs require you to register and then they provide you with personal weekly menu plans based on your needs and your carbohydrate gram level. There are normally printable weekly shopping lists that make picking up your Atkins diet foods from the grocery store easy and quick.

Atkins diet food is easy to find once you know what you are looking for. The books, food pyramid and online resources can help you make better food choices and stay on the diet for the long term.

Atkins Induction Rules

The Induction phase of the Atkins diet is one of the most important stepping-stones to successful weight loss. In addition to the list of acceptable foods, there are a few rules that are important to follow during this period of the diet.

During Induction, you need to eat three regular-sized meals per day or four to five smaller meals. If you find yourself jittery and hungry between meals, try breaking down your meals into smaller portions and eat more frequently. In order to stave off carbohydrate cravings, you’ll need to constantly keep your body running on the proteins and vegetables on the plan. Never skip meals and never go more than six waking hours without eating.

You can eat freely from the list of acceptable foods. Do not restrict your fats and proteins. Eat as much of them as you like. Remember, the Atkins diet is not a calorie-restricted diet. The only thing you need to worry about is your level of carbohydrate grams. Make sure to count your carbohydrate grams when you eat vegetables, cheese and beverages with Splenda. At least 12-15 grams of your allowed carbohydrates should be from your vegetable list. While it may be tempting to eat them all in cheese, vegetables are important to your digestive system (especially while on this diet).

Avoid all fruit, bread, pasta, grains and starchy vegetables (like cauliflower or squash) during this initial period. These foods will be slowly introduced throughout the course of the pre-maintenance phase. Although beans are high in protein, they also include carbohydrates and should be avoided during this phase. If you feel that you must have some grain products, you should limit yourself to high fiber low-carbohydrate products. However, this may slow down your weight loss process.

Anything that isn’t on the acceptable food list is forbidden during the Induction phase. Don’t be tempted to just have “one bite.” Your one bite may turn into two, and then before you know it you’ll end up ruining your diet.

Remember to adjust the quantity of acceptable foods to suit your appetite. At the beginning of the Induction phase, you may find yourself eating much, much more than you will toward the end of the phase. As your body breaks its addiction to sugar and carbohydrates, you will be less hungry throughout the day. When this starts to happen, make sure to eat only what you need. Eat until you are satisfied and not overly stuffed.

Always read the labels of packaged products, even if they claim they are “carb free.” You may find that some products have hidden carbohydrates. The law allows manufacturers to round off to zero if a product has fewer than .5 grams of carbohydrates. Look at the list of ingredients for manufactured products to determine if there are hidden carbs. You’ll also need to watch out for hidden carbohydrates when you eat out. There are small carbohydrate amounts in gravies, sauces and salad dressings. The best bet is to eat your meat without sauce and eat your salad with olive oil and vinegar dressing.

Remember to drink 8 eight-ounce glasses of water, in addition to anything else you might drink. This will keep your body hydrated and help you avoid constipation. You’ll also be able to flush out the by-products created by fat burning.

Keep all of these guidelines in mind when you start the induction phase and you’ll be setting yourself up for long-term success with the Atkins diet.

Disadvantages of public schooling

When we consign our children to public schools, we feel satisfied that they are receiving 'quality education'. But, are we really getting our money's worth? More importantly, are the children gaining anything from this kind of a learning procedure?

Socialization is hailed as one of the greatest advantage of  schools. This is the place where the child picks up the rudiments of social skills that help him survive. But in truth, a regular school-going child can interact only with his peers. He may bully younger children or fear older ones. He does not know how to behave with an adult. This is because in the school environment he interacts only with his peers. A homeschooling environment brings in a more natural social environment.

A regular school going child cannot read literature. He cannot keep silent or think in depth about any one thing. The artificial 'busy'ness imposed upon him by the school disallows quiet contemplation. Rowdy and destructive behavior, as seen among peers, is more noticeable in school-goers.

There is little long-standing knowledge among regular school goers because most things are learnt for the exam. There is no correlation of facts with life. The child may know a lot, but understands very little. This is where the homeschoolers beat the regular school goers. Ultimately, homeschoolers emerge more adept
at facing the outside world.

Benefits Of Homeschooling

Why let Tim and Lisa learn at home than send them to school? Well, first of all, you don't have to wake them up at 7 every morning and bundle them off to school with umpteen numbers of instructions, and wait with an anxious heart till they return.
Homeschooling gives you more control over the influences that affect your child. The growth and development of your child is removed from the realm of the unknown. You, and you alone can decide what your child needs to do or learn. Tailoring the curriculum to suit the needs and interests of the child is one of the most obvious benefits of homeschooling.

Individual attention is another salient benefit of homeschooling. For instance, if Lisa needs more time to learn
Math, then she can reduce the time for her English lessons. There are no fixed hours of learning per subject. This means that a child has the advantage of assigning more number of hours to the subject that seems tough WITHOUT any additional pressure. The amount of time needed to learn each subject will depend on the abilities and interests of the child.

The schooling of the child becomes an extended family activity. Parents get involved in every step of the learning procedure. Field trips and experiments become family activities. Thus, the child receives more quality time with his parents. The entire family shares games, chores and projects. Family closeness becomes the focus here. The child is also free of any negative peer pressure while making choices and decisions.

Competition is limited when it comes to homeschooling. The child does not need to prove his ability with regards to other children. His confidence remains intact. Since parents have a deep understanding of their child, they can plan the learning program to pique the child's interest. It is also possible to intersperse difficult tasks with fun activities. A tough hour with Algebra can be followed by a trip to the nearest museum.
Learning becomes fun. Parents can also tailor the curriculum to suit the learning style of the child. Some children learn through reading, while others need to write, and still others need to see
objects in action.

Homeschooling allows parents to take control over the moral and religious learning of the child. Parents have the flexibility to incorporate their beliefs and ideologies into the child's curriculum. There is no confusion in the child's mind either because there is no variation between what is being taught and what is being practiced.

Lastly, more and more parents are getting disillusioned with the public school system. They believe that their children are being pushed too hard or too little. Other worrying issues pertaining to discipline and ethics also make the school system less welcome. Many repudiate the educational philosophy of grouping children solely on the basis of their age. Some parents themselves have unhappy memories of their own public school experience that motivates them to opt for homeschooling when it comes to their own children.

Homeschooling is the best way to teach a child if you have the time, the ability and the interest to follow through with his education. After all, nobody can understand or appreciate your child more than yourself.

Depending on the individual this rage can cause a person to resort to different ways of releasing their anger, some of which may be painful to themselves and others.

When an individual is being verbally abused, perhaps sexually abused, these situations provoke anger. People deal with these disturbing experiences differently but for those who become angry because of the abuse, the outcome could be very serious, even violent. Anger management information such as this is imperative, especially in a situation where a person feels threatened.

Being treated unfairly often provokes feelings of anger. Often people are blamed for things, whether warranted or not, it can cause them to feel angry and act out because of these feelings.

"Losing Weight the Healthy Way"

Almost 108 million Americans were overweight or obese in 1999. Until now, obesity continues to be a serious problem and is predicted to reach epidemic levels by the year 2020.

One way to prevent this scenario is to make people aware of the risks of being overweight or obese.

Here are some diseases that you are putting yourself in risk of if you are carrying a lot of extra pounds:

1. heart disease
2. stroke
3. diabetes
4. cancer
5. arthritis
6. hypertension

Losing weight helps to prevent and control these diseases.

The quick weight loss methods which have spread like fire these days do not provide lasting results. More often than not, dieting methods which involve dietary drinks, foods and supplement or  pills do not work. If they do, the results are just temporary.

It is better to rely on a healthy weight loss option which will provide lifetime results. You have to set realistic goals and not expect to lose a lot of pounds in a short span of time.

Here are some tips on how you can lose those unwanted pounds the healthy way:

1.   Do not starve your self.

The key to a healthier way of losing weight is: Do not diet.

You may seem happy and feel that you are losing those unwanted flabs on your belly and thighs by skipping meals. But remember that this would not last long. Your body cannot tolerate having insufficient food to fuel the energy that you use up everyday.

If you get used to skipping one or two meals a day, your stored calories will be used up instead of the energy that should have been provided by your meals. So if you just eat one huge sandwich in one day, it will end up straight to your problem area (i.e. highs, buttocks, hips).

2.  Start your day right.

Mothers always say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. Have a healthy meal in the morning to jump-start your metabolism.

Your food intake after you wake up will be used to burn fat all day long.

3.  Eat small, healthy meals frequently.

Five  small-serving snacks per day is better than three hearty meals. Eating more frequently, and in small servings, can prevent over-eating. This will also increase your metabolism and make calories burn faster.

4.  Decide on how much weight you want to lose.

Keep your goals realistic. In the long run, it is virtually impossible for you to lose 40 pounds in 2 weeks. Have a mindset that you want to eat healthy to stay healthy for the rest of your life.

Once you have decided on a weight loss plan or program, stick to it and make sure that you follow your own set of dieting rules.

5.  Drink lots of water.

Your body needs sufficient water  to burn fat and keep your cells hydrated and healthy.

6.  Avoid too much sugar.

Plan your meals around lots of fruits and vegetables, some bread, rice or pasta for that carbo fix that you need, plus lean  meat and protein rich-foods. Sweets, sodas and pastries should be once-in-a-while indulgences only.

7.  Watch your fat intake.

Fat is not the culprit to being overweight. You need this to keep your weight at the proper level.

There is such a thing as healthy fats. Olive, peanuts and canola oil have them. Tuna, salmon and mackerel have omega-3 fats which is good for the heart.

8.  Exercise.

Leave your car if  you are only going a few blocks from home, take the stairs instead of the elevator, jog, cycle or  skate. Use these activites and other home chores if you are too lazy to go to the gym and take exercise classes. Make sure that you do this regularly and you will not even notice that you are already shedding pounds with these mundane activities.

It does not matter how much weight you plan or need to lose. What is important is that you set realistic goals for yourself.

Go slow. If you have already lost 5 or 6 pounds, give yourself a break then try to lose the next 5 pounds.

Eat healthy, drink lots of water, have enough sleep and exercise. This will give you a higher chance of losing weight and improving your health, which would result to a new, healthier you.
